Unable to connect to network roaming in Australia

MaxWhitelegg

Hi, I hope you can help with an issue I am having connecting to network whilst travelling in Australia? My sim is showing as Emergency Calls Only and no network available.

This is a sim specific issue rather than device as I have swapped sims with another device for testing already as well as trying manual network selection.

I went online and turned on 'Enable Roaming' this Tuesday 25th Oct AM and all options are now showing as ticked (allowed) on my Parental and Data Controls on my EE account online.

It has now been over 48hours and I have restarted my phone several times with no luck.

Can you please help? I currently only have access through WiFi and the online message service isn't working. I understand that roaming incurs charges however I only require network connection in order to receive verification messages/texts so no need for add on packages.

Hello @MaxWhitelegg ,

Welcome to the community,

I see you have checked everything, I take it you are on contract with EE? If pay as you go did you use your SIM card in the UK and make sure that you have enough credit?

The only other thing I can suggest, is to contact EE, if you have Skype, it is free as there is a free number:

https://ee.co.uk/contact-ee/account-billing/mobile

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hi @MaxWhitelegg

Welcome to the community. We'll do our best to help.

Is it a contract SIM card or a pay as you go one? What kind of phone are you using?
