What Home WiFi? Do you mean EE Home Broadband & Phone?

Calls & Texts from UK to non-UK nos. are chargeable from all devices.

Sorry yes I’m on EE Wifi broadband, and EE wifi on iPhone...

@bluesbaby75 : Calls & texts cost the same whether you make them over WiFi or not.

International calls & texts to overseas nos. from UK can be rather expensive but EE has a add-on, free on PAYG or £2 pm on contract, that anyone, on PAYG or contract, can apply for to give these calls & texts at a fraction of the standard rates. See The CALL ABROAD Add-on for Cheap Calls/Texts from UK .

@bluesbaby75   If your using a Mac you probably sending iMessages and these are not part of your text allowance but they use data so will be using your home broadband connection and so no cost,      If the text bubble is blue it’s an iMessage and it s sent via a data connection it’s not a text message.   Text messages on a iPhone are sent as green text bubbles and via a Mac if you have set this will be green also.  Yes you can send texts via a Mac.   But I’m guessing you haven’t set this up and your sending iMessages.   iMessage is only available to Apple devices to send and receive .

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

Well, thanks, but I had another text from Chris saying that as I was using iPhone to iPhone my calls and texts would be using data so I don’t need the £2 a month Abroad Add . I had added it due to your advice
and had the confirmation that it’s been added. I am wondering if this is now on my contract as a permanent cost, I only needed it for a month, ugh! I’d just managed to slightly reduce my phone cost on my contract which was up. Now I think I’ve added £2 to it! I remember I had a add-on for a similar situation a couple years ago which was for one month to cover the time I needed it and then could cancel it at the months end..
Do you think I can cancel this and have a one month add on if I call EE tomorrow,? Thanks.

Maybe, but only if family members are also using iMessage.
