TNT sports activation 😡😡😡

I tried to activate TNT sports (my inclusive extra) in June last year, and spent ages back and forth with customer services all because the link below just to validate myself doesn’t work (http://ee.co.uk/tntsports).

It takes you to an authentication page (https://ee.co.uk/app/validate-otp) whereby you enter your mobile then receive a pin. When you enter the PIN, you get a technical error message. To try again, you have to wait 10 minutes only to get the same error message after all that waiting! I eventually got it working after finally getting hold of someone that could remotely activate my service.

I switched my inclusive extra a couple of months ago to EU roaming for a holiday, and now almost 12 months after the initial problem, I’m switching back to TNT sports only to face the same issues. Why is this authentication process still broken after 12 months?! Surely I’m not the only EE customer that uses TNT sports facing this issue?!

This time round customer services (live chat) solution was to try and take me through the process again which obviously didn’t work only to now be told, ‘would I like to leave a complaint!?’

 

Why is this so hard!!??

I can see here that you're loading the link directly from your message and it's doing this in Safari. 

If you haven't already, can you please copy and paste the link and try opening it in Chrome instead?

Hello, I’m having exactly the same problem and whatever I do I can’t get TNT Sports to work. I’ve tried Chrome, Chrome Incognito, WIFI on and off, desktop, etc. 

Seeing that I’m not the only one facing this problem, does anyone know of a workable solution?

Thanks for coming to the community. 

Do you have the TNT Sports add-on showing as active in your EE account? 

Have you entered the same mobile number registered on your account when trying to get set up?

Hi Leanna,

Yes, TNT Sport is active and I’m using the correct number. 

I haven’t been able to fix that since the start of my current contract even though I had it on my previous contract. The only difference I can think of is that I’m now using an eSIM rather than a physical one, so you think that has something to do with it? BTW, I was able to activate another add on (Microsoft 365 )with no problem.

What happens if you try and log into the discovery+ app using the TNT Sports details you registered previously? If this has worked before, you may not need to register your details again and would be good to check if this works?

I’ve tried again with the same login, no luck. Can I ask again about the eSIM? Has that been an issue before?

Not that I am aware of, but the best people to check this all over to see what could be causing this would be our tech guides. If you give us a call they will get the account looked into and let you know what is needed to get this sorted.
