Spam texts from name no number

I get daily spam texts from names like ‘Sara’ advertising gambling services amongst others. I can’t report them to 7726 because there is no number attached, just the name. 

How can I stop this? I don’t want to mute them because they still come up at the top of my inbox constantly.

I have looked at some texts I have personally received which shows no numbers and it gives me the option to block, however, I am an iPhone user.

Hi Katie,

I am also an iPhone user. The problem here is the texts come from different names all with no underlying number. So currently EE offers zero solution other than constantly just deleting the texts. Why does EE allow spam on its network from providers not registered to numbers? How is this possible? What steps is EE taking to prevent this abuse?

I hope that finally clarifies the issue 2 years after I first raised it.

This forwarding of spam texts to S.P.A.M. is a network-wide facility aimed at your network whomever it is. When asked to reply with the sending no. I use the sending name if it does not come from a no.

I can't be sure it works. I get loads from SHEIN. I reply (not EE) for many with "SHEIN" & I still get them.

You can only block numbers if you know the number. Please forward the message to 7726. It will be sent to a security team who will investigate it.

The spams all advertise gambling sites. There is no phone number shown at the top of the screen, so when I forward the spam text to 7726 I am unable to forward the number which sent it.
