I’m aboard in Central America and risk losing my number if I don’t make calls/texts. I’ve topped up and everything but can’t make any calls/texts. How can I fix this if I’m already abroad?

Does your phone show a connection to any local networks?

And assuming you're on PAYG, did you use the phone in the UK first before travelling abroad?

What happens when you try and make a call? 

Can you try and manually select a different network to see if you can make calls and send texts?
