been in South Africa now for over a week I added roaming which was £25 and yet I still don’t get no signal to any network here this is very frustrating and I very disappointed in ee and will be looking to end my contract

If you didn't activate roaming on your account before you left the UK the add-on will not work. Download Skype and use the number in my signature to phone EE (UK office hours) to activate roaming on your account.

The £25 you refer to is a billing add-on to reduce the cost of roaming, and regardless of this, your ability to get coverage abroad (which calls, texts & mobile data rely on) is dependent on roaming being activated - which allows your phone to connect to foreign networks.
On pay-monthly, this needs to be enabled manually - usually by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK. Did you do this?
If you now find yourself abroad without having enabled roaming, your only recourse will be to contact CS to request it activated. You can either contact +44 7953 966150 from another working phone, or +44 800 0798586 using a web-calling app such as Skype over WiFi.

@Tonyg53 There is no roaming add on at £25 for South Africa for consumer tariffs that I can find. What add on did you purchase? I believe EE business tariffs cover South Africa with a roaming pass are you a business customer?
