Roaming charges

Good morning,

Should I have been charged for clearing my voicemails whilst on the hotel WiFi in Turkey?

It took me 5 attempts to clear a voicemail because on the first 4 occasions when I pressed 3 to clear the voicemail it did not work.

Hello @Lorettajohn ,

Welcome to the community,

Yes, you will be charged, as it goes over network and not wifi, calls and text are charged so would any voicemail, you would otherwise need to speak to customer service, but why not wait until you are back in this country to delete a voicemail?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Thanks for the information. To be honest I had tried clearing it at home with no success so I was sitting in my hotel room bored and thought I'd clear it then.

@Lorettajohn , you are welcome, sorry not better news, but after a certain amount of time, they are automatically deleted, unless you have visual voicemail, which is something IPhone have.

WiFi-calling is a coverage enhancement tool intended for use in the UK, and call charges are exactly the same as if a call was made over the mobile network.

While not supported abroad, if it happens to work then standard roaming charges apply.
