Looking to get Roam Abroad for a trip to US. I am on pay monthly. It will cost me £25 for month.
My data allowance is only 8GB so less than the fair use policy.
Would I only get 8GB to use that month or would I get data up to fair use policy?
Don't want to pay £25 if I am getting a lot less for that £25 than others.

The Roam Abroad pass allows usage of your UK allowances in the selected countries. If your normal monthly allowance is 8GB, you can use all of that during your billing month in the US.
The pass doesn't increase your allowances.

You just get your full allowance of 8GB per billing month. You don't get more just cuz you are roaming.
If you don't buy the Roam Abroad Pass and you need mobile data while there you'll be paying through the nose for it.

Hi @Kg12345
To add make sure you have text ROAMING to 150 as roaming is not activated by just subscribing to the roaming pass.
Thanks

Thanks for the answers - it's as I thought. I am not paying the same per month as someone who will have a lot more data.
Will have WiFi and will get a sim card from 3 which will work out considerably cheaper.

That same person has "a lot more data" in the UK, it's not a roaming query.

Then nor will you pay the same as someone who has less UK data 😉 ! The £25 pm charge is not based on how much UK data you have but to allow you to use your allowances in selected countries. The 50GB FUP is a separate consideration that applies to using your UK allowances abroad regardless of whether you have the Roam Abroad Pass or not.
