Receiving Voice Mails

I've discovered that when people ring my number, if I don't answer it just rings out and eventually goes to message saying the caller was unavailable and to try later. I have looked into setting up my voice mail and when I go to the voice messaging settings it says the 'call divert to voice mail' is switched on a long with some other settings. I have tried to turn this off and on again through the texts and it comes back saying there is some trouble in completing the request. I have rang the answer phone number and have turned the setting on and off and on again this way, and when I call it does say the settings are all on.

But when I get someone to call the phone number to see if the voice message service works, it continues to ring out then eventual goes back to the caller was unavailable. I plan to use this phone to start up a business, so need the answer phone to be working for possible clients.

Please could I have some help on how I can resolve this issue.

My understanding is that texting VM ON to 150 resets the unconditional diverts and ensures your voicemail box is active.

I suspect both of these are already done, but if you call voicemail on either 222 or speed-dial 1, are you saying you reach the voicemail service?

If so, try using option 2 to ensure you have a greeting set.

If I call my number say from a family phone (Wanted to check answer phone was working) it doesn't go to an answer phone, it ends up saying the person I'm trying to contact in unavailable.

I have done what you have suggested; as to using option 2 and set up the greeting. But it still rings out and then says the person I'm trying to get hold of is unavailable and to please try again later.

I suspect that diverts are not the issue, and you've proven VM activation isn't, but try texting VM ON to 150 and restart your phone.

If nothing else, it's part of the CS script so worth ruling out.

Hi, I have tried texting VM ON to 150 a number of times, and I keep getting the same reply of: "Sorry, we're having  some trouble completing your request at the moment. Please try again later" That's across both today and yesterday,

I have just attempted to restart the phone, and I am still having the same issue.

Thank you for your attempt to help, do you have any other suggestions?

Many thanks

Hi @PhotographyAli,

It sounds like there might be something in your profile that is stopping your voicemail from being set up, so I'd recommend reaching out to our Technical team on 150, and they can take a look for you.
