I have been on the max plan for years, 2 years ago I started buying my phones outright and sim only MAX PLAN. I am just back from America and couldn't get signal or data and had to buy the roam further at £11 not happy and have always been on MAX PLAN. l am now looking at other carriers

@ronniejcmc , if you have not changed your plan, then the max plan will still or should still work. Have you checked your SIM card, rebooted your phone since being back in the UK?
If you are in the UK, you could go into settings and do a network reset and see if that solves the problem.

@ronniejcmc When did you take out this sim only tariff? No tariff after the 7th of July has roaming included unless you have a smart benefit and you use that benefit for the roam further pass when needed.

I changed to sim only in June 2020.
I have asked them to pull the phone call when I took out the contract to prove I had taken the MAX plan, but was told they can't do it. when I previously had to phone about roaming in Europe I was told they would pull the call to check but never heard back but they sorted the phone after that so I thought it was sorted.

I have not contacted them since Ive came back. Just back on Sunday and back to work, I was told I wasn't on the MAX plan (even though I made sure I was when taking the contract as I am away 2-3 times a year pre covid.) when I phoned on holiday I had to pay for the data. My contract is ended so just looking around to see if I can get a contract that suits me for when Im travelling

Have you had a look in MyEE at your upgrade options? If you pick a plan with Roam Abroad as a smart benefit you can get roaming included in EU and 5 extra countries.
