Phoning my mums landline from the EU - it does not ring for her

I am away for 2 weeks - paid the extra for the month to cover me so I can phone my mum  who is in her 80's to make sure she is OK every day.  I can FaceTime her but have to ring her first to make her get her iPad.  However her phone seems to ring from my end but does not ring at all her end.  I have verified this by phoning using my daughters phone and then FaceTiming and then trying to ring using my phone.  It is seemingly ringing but not being answered my end but not ringing her end at all.  I really need to make sure I can phone her so why is it not ringing??

Just as an added note - I have checked her blacklisted numbers incase she added me by mistake and my number is not on it.  I also checked her recent callers and the 3 times I have tried this morning are on there....

It sounds like the calls are reaching your mother's landline successfully, since they show in her call history. I'd recommend reporting the issue to the landline provider so they can look into it for you.
