Does your phone show a connection to any Japanese networks?
If not - are you pay-monthly or PAYG? The process to enable roaming - allowing your phone to connect to foreign networks - differs between pay-monthly & PAYG.
PAYG is auto-enabled for roaming once used in the UK first. Pay-monthly needs to manually enabled, normally by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK.

Hi there
thanks for your reply.
I got no network at all and if I try to call it just saying only emergency calls allowed.
I'm paying monthly and my roaming is turned on, trying to find a live chat to ee so I can talk to them when im using wifi for but non of the links are working for the chat.

What is your basis for saying "my roaming is turned on"? The symptoms you describe are a good example of roaming not being active.

@Bissarna : Maybe roaming is turned on on your phone but is it turned on on your EE a/c, usually by texting ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK?
