Phone not working in South Africa

Hi folks, i am in South Africa and cannot make a call or text.  I bought. 120 mins add on for the area before i left the UK.  I can get phone reception/network but it just beeps and cuts  off.  Anyone had this or has advise?

That is just a billing add-on. It doesn't enable your ability to roam abroad. For that you needed to have texted ROAMING to 150 before you left the UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account. If you didn't you now need to call CS to have it enabled.
