I am experiencing this issue with my Google pixel 6 pro. I have been on live chat with Google on and off all day and they're claiming that the issue is with EE. 1 phone contact is unable to call me, it doesn't ring her end. I get no missed call notification and when I search the call history I see the "blocked call" from this number. I can receive text messages off her but no calls. She is not on my block list and Google have done all sorts of troubleshooting with me which haven't worked. Can you help me

Google say its an issue EE's end that they cannot fix.
If deleting & recreating the contact entry doesn't resolve, I'd suggest advising Google of your findings from the withheld number test, thus proving the issue relates to caller-ID. The presence, or otherwise, of CLI makes no difference to how EE route calls..
Their response would be interesting.
Out of interest, what are the "all sorts of troubleshooting" that they've tried initially?

Hi Leanne.
Yes this is my mother in law's number who all of a sudden cannot phone me.
I have just done as you suggested and completely deleted her number. Called her and asked that she try ringing me back. This worked 🤔 What do I do now?

Strangely enough Leanne this is one of the first things I did myself when it happened over the weekend.
I have done this again today and just received a call from her saved number.
My phone contacts did merge with my husbands ages ago when he signed into his Google account on my handset so I did have her number in multiple times (eventhough the problem only started on Sunday) I did delete all forms of the contact number and then added again.
Google had me doing all sorts, turning phone off leaving off for 30seconds and turning back on again, removing all app permissions, making sure every single app was updated upto date, no phone updates needed, clearing caches, checking block list which I had obviously already done and the list goes on. Let's just say that they wasted alot of my time.
Thank you very much to you and Bristolian for your help yesterday and today. It is much appreciated.
