Phone is blocking calls from one of my contacts

I am experiencing this issue with my Google pixel 6 pro. I have been on live chat with Google on and off all day and they're claiming that the issue is with EE. 1 phone contact is unable to call me, it doesn't ring her end. I get no missed call notification and when I search the call history I see the "blocked call" from this number. I can receive text messages off her but no calls. She is not on my block list and Google have done all sorts of troubleshooting with me which haven't worked. Can you help me

When the number is sent and the call "doesn't ring", does the call reach your voicemail instead?

If this contact calls you with their number withheld, does this make any difference?

Hi, it doesn't ring her end at all. Very quickly it states "line busy" on her screen, doesn't ring and just cuts itself off. Doesn't go to voicemail.

But this is a number that I contact on a regular basis usually. It's just really strange.

Also I just had her withhold her number and it dialled to me. 

Asked her to call me as normal straight afterwards and the issue continues with my phone blocking her call

If the call connects with CLI withheld but otherwise fails, this is absolutely classic behaviour of call blocking.

It's unusual for texts to still arrive, as is the behaviour of calls not hitting VM.  But that could be a device quirk.

Everything else is consistent.

Please can you provide assistance on how to remedy this error?

This started randomly. 

I can't find options for call blocking or call barring on my google pixel 6 pro.

Google say its an issue EE's end that they cannot fix.

Thanks for coming to the community. 

Has the contact been able to call you in the past? 

Could you try deleting the contact from your phone and call list after making a note of the number and ask them to try calling you again, does this work?
