New phone set up

I am trying to set up and transfer contents onto my new device and the new phone is saying there is no service, and won’t let me set up esim.

Do you have an eSIM in your old device? if it's using a single, physical SIM, just transfer it to your new device

I have done that and it still says there’s no service. And when I return the physical sim to the old iPhone there’s still no service again

@OscarKay  Did you start the eSim setup on your new device?   If you did your sim is now deactivated.  You should have put your sim in the new device then started the eSim setup.  You now need to request a replacement SIM card.
