NHS/Dentist/Doctor/Hospital calls all blocked

Hi there, please help!

I’ve had this problem for months now. EE have been absolutely awful in finding a resolution and I can’t still receive calls from doctors/dentists/hospitals.

When they call my number it gives them an automated response that the number isn’t recognised, or it transfers them directly to a voicemail which is not mine. I get no notification of a call attempt or any voicemail, ever.

This only started once I switched to EE earlier this year.

I desperately need this resolved as waiting on hospital calls.  EE cust service has been beyond useless in helping.

I have an iPhone 16max. All settings have been checked, all numbers unbarred, sim has been checked, network diagnostics have been run. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!

Hello @Neil1301

Welcome to the EE Community.

I am sorry to hear you have not been able to receive important phone calls, I understand this must be frustrating.

So we can help, have you been able to try a 2way SIM Swap that was previously mentioned above?

Katie

Yep Katy I’ve tried the swap. The problem is my sim not the phone. 100% proven. EE have not helped and I’ve spent literally hours of my life on the phone so many times trying to get this resolved and none at EE has been able to. It’s clearly an issue affecting others as you can see from the forums and quick online search. I need help to fix this as it’s genuinely quite urgent and important. Thanks

To clarify, when I put my sim in another phone the same problem exists in NHS calls to my number.

When another sim is in my phone, NHS numbers come through no problem at all.

The issue is clearly with my sim/network

EE has been no help at all in trying to fix this. I have spent multiple hours of my life on the phone and in store trying to get this fixed but just keep getting passed about. It’s important and terrible that no one from EE has fixed this.

@Neil1301 , it looks like the SIM card has a problem and would need replacing, you can either order a replacement sim card or go to an EE store with photo ID and request a replacement SIM card, which hopefully will resolve the problem.

Just one other question, does your phone show your mobile number?

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Thanks so much for confirming @Neil1301

What was advised on your last call to our technical care team?

Katie

That it would be elevated to some sort of specialist who would call me back at a later date to try and fix.

I’ve not spoken to anyone since.

When was the last call @Neil1301?

Was a ticket raised to our Level 2 department?

Katie

I believe it was. I’ve not spoken to anyone since though, it must’ve been over a month ago now. It’s been exhausting to be honest
