My number is being spoofed

I think someone is using my number to contact people.

I keep getting calls from random numbers. They said my number called them but I did not even call anyone.

Is anyone having the same issue?

Just posting here because I want an online record of this, really. My number is being spoofed by someone, somewhere. Over the past month or so, three folks have called me asking me who I am, saying they'd missed a call from me. One of them was particularly upset that I'd 'found their number'. In all cases, I hadn't used my phone that day - in fact, I rarely call out ever.

Can anything be done about this, besides changing my number?

I'm sorry to hear that this is happening to you. In our experience, these cases only last a short time before they move on to a different number.

If it continues for you, our Mobile Care team will be able to change your number.

Hi,

I'm also replying here as today I got a call.from a very confused person who was returning my call. A call I never made, he even sent me the phone record. 

It seems like my mobile phone number has been spoofed, and I want to know of there is a way to properly report it to EE. 

It seems like the stock answer is to change your number, which is not a solution, the admin required is huge. 

Instead can you not set up a way to report it so that it's on record as having been spoofed?

I am sorry you have had this call and believe the number may have been spoofed. 

To report the call spoofing to us, please call 150 and our tech guides will get this looked into for you and discuss what options are available to stop this.

Hi

My number is being spoofed, got a call today from a lady who said, hello, I've just missed your call. I hadn't phoned anyone. I've had this number years and never had a problem, recently moved to EE for the first time ever (been a 3 and O2 customer for years), makes me wonder if this is an EE data issue?

Just wanted to record it somewhere so EE can't deny it's happening
