My Mobile phone recently stopped being able to receive texts or calls. Can anyone help me with this? I was going to ask the support chat on this site but it doesn't seem to be working, it says "We're open 8am to 10.30pm every day." but they don't seem to be there even though it's 5pm right now.
Thanks

Hello @alexc3 ,
Welcome to the community,
If you are on contract with EE, live chat is available when someone is not dealing with calls, so you may have to wait for someone to be available. Have you tried rebooting your phone? That can sometimes help. Have you checked whether there is a problem where you are, are you able to make calls and send texts?
If you are abroad, did you make sure that roaming, call abroad and premium calls are enabled? This will only be possible if you are on contract, otherwise you need to make sure you have enough credit if abroad and on pay as you go.

I'm on pay as you go and I have credit on the phone, I've rebooted and reset the phone, I've tried turning flight mode on and off, I'm not abroad, I'm getting two to three bars of signal but I still can't receive any calls or texts. Also I've had EE do a network status check for my area and they say everything is fine.

When did you last use it for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
