Transfer from BT mobile to EE

I have had to move from BT mobile to EE as BT no longer provide a mobile service. It would appear that I am now in a contract of 24mths and the mthly charge is £10 reduced to £6 with a discount. My query is will this discount last for the duration of the 24mth contract?

Yes and it should say so in your contract.

Why? BT still provide mobile services. I can order a mobile from BT right now.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Thanks, I have checked my contract and it says £10 due monthly for 24mths.
If I then click on Bills it states I owe £6 to start off the account and underneath is monthly charges tab and this says
- mthly charges £6,
- Plan SIM 10GB £10 24m 5G T
- Discounts and Credits £4.00 discount
What do you reckon?!

@podojan , have you set up direct debit with EE? If so they EE will take the money when your billing date is due. I see it that you will get the discount every month, but if you are worried at all, then ring accounts and see what they have to say.

Thanks for this, I have not parted with any money yet....I have till 31st to get it sorted! I will try accounts which should be interesting!

@podojan , you are welcome, glad we could help, EE can be busy, so I would have thought the best time to ring customer service is in the morning, if it is busy, but if they have your bank account details, I would have thought they would take the money automatically on your billing date.

I used the messaging system and the reply is that the reduction is just for this mth and then up to the £10 mth. I will look elsewhere but thanks for getting me in the right direction for the info
Many thanks

They're actively trying to get people to move over toEE but weirdly they've not close BT Mobile to new customers and are still signing up users to 24 month contracts.
