Just arrived in Brussels - no service.

**bleep** is going on? I have just arrived in Brussels but I have no roaming service or data. I was last here with the same phone and account two years ago - everything worked fine.  I am on the hotel Wi-Fi now. I cannot get help from EE as I can’t call or text, and chat from the EE app locks up. This is seriously annoying.

Mobile data, text messages and voice calls all rely on mobile network coverage abroad. If you don't have the latter, the former naturally follows.

If you've previously used roaming abroad, then unless you've explicitly requested it removed it should still be active. Have you performed a manual network search and tried connecting to each local network in turn?

If you upgraded in that time then its likely reactivated the roaming block. 

Download Skype and over wifi use the number in my signature to call and speak to EE.
