Internation dial tone when In UK

I’ve had two calls recently where the caller has advised they’ve had an international dial tone when calling me, making it look like I’m abroad.

I’ve been at home on both occasions connected to WiFi calling.

Any idea why this is happening?

Hi Katie,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Its when I am calling people it rings them like they are abroad, when I know 100% they are not.

Thank you

Emma

I'm not far from there near Wakefield. Happening on EE and o2.

I have been having the same issue. When calling my partner who is also EE I sometimes get a international ring when calling. and a friend called me today said the same thing happend when calling. Does not happen all the time and only been happening the past couple days. Just wonder if the call will be charged at a international rate.

Hi David 😊 what network is your partner on?

It's been happening to us since Monday.

The weirdest part is there's not much about it on the Internet. It's been happening to other people we know too.

I hope we are not being charged extra for it.

Hi, both of us are with EE.

Not sure if this is a problem with other networks or not. Here seems to be the only information online I have come across.

Unfortunately no explaination tho 😔

This is happening to my phone too. Having lots of customers ask if I’m abroad. I am in West Yorkshire also.

I’ve had a few incoming calls and I was asked if I’m abroad because the caller heard the international dial tone.

This is happening to me as well for the last week or so. I have reset everything as well.
