Instantly disconnecting from foreign landline number

I've been trying to call a phone number in Poland from my EE mobile ( samsung 24 plus ) but it instantly disconnects each time. My girlfriend, also on EE ( Huawei p20 lite ), has the same issue but when she calls from her work mobile, with Vodafone, she is able to connect. They advised that other british numbers can call them so it's an issue with our phones or network.

We're both able to call Polish mobile phones. Neither of us have any call forwarding set on our phones.

Can anyone advise what could be causing this?

Thanks.

@Boardstupid : Are you on contract or PAYG? If PAYG, do you have enough credit to make International Calls?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

I suspect that EE would route all call traffic to Poland regardless of destination network, and leave that piece to a local operator in Poland... however, can you call numbers on the same network?

You'll likely end up reporting this to EE-CS for a fault ticket to be raised. It may need a core network tech (not customer-facing) to take a look.

I'm on a contract and have roaming enabled. Im able to call various Polish mobile phone numbers.

I don't know what Polish network they are on ( it's a business ) but I'm able to call other Polish mobile numbers.

I'm going to report an error tomorrow,  i just thought it might be worth asking the question in case it's something obvious.

Cheers.

Roaming means using your phone on foreign networks. Different to making international calls from EE's UK network.

Hmm, good point. I get the issue, as does my girlfriend, when calling from the UK on our mobile. However,  we both tried from Poland on the same mobile phones and got the same issue. My girlfriends mum can call the number from a Polish mobile phone, and my girlfriend can call from her work phone ( not EE ). We didn't test calling from the work phone whilst in Poland.
