Hello peopl

I am monthly pay customer, I have set up spend cup just today as I didn't know that if I want to make a phone call to abroad I need to have spend cup at least 20£ I set up to 50. I never used before. They says it is activated straight don't need to wait. I restarted my iPhone but still can't make just simple phone call to abroad. People please can you help as I can't make call to abroad out of the Uk. It is NOT possible to conatct EE on 150 as they have everything just chatbox, I pop in to the store but they were not able to help. I do not know where can be problem. If I just try to call to Slovakia I can hear this: sorry, number you have dialed is above your phone. That's all I can have. I am completely helpless. Thanks

Hello @mirobebe ,

Welcome to the community,

Not sure why you were not able to speak to customer service on 150, you just have to press the right one for mobile accounts and I believe it is then 2 and you should be able to speak to a person, as you need this enabled to make calls to foreign countries, same if you want to make calls when abroad, you need to have roaming enabled.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Hi I have similar problem.

Lesson I learn today is to leave EE asap.

Spend cap is not possible to remove = No one is there to help you.

I can not make calls abroad and NO no one is available to talk to on this EE system.

I personally dislike companies who take our money monthly and  have no human workforce available.

150 was zero help and totally useless.

My second option was to call: 07953966150 , but that option was quite useless too.

They encourage you to deal width virtual assistant = the most useless options.

EE is company that is failing to provide real customer service support.

So I will be LEAVING soon for any other company that may offer genuine customer support.

If I need to pay more I will, as I  do not need phone if I can not make calls abroad.

Just to say in 3 years, this is first time I made call, but answering machine said:

"they are receiving high numbers of calls" right now.

I have been waiting just over 10 min + loud music, the person answered, then I was put "through" on to another que + loud music again. It took additional  10 min and no one is picking my call?

AFTER 23 min of waiting , I got someone again to speak.

I was given options , but would prefer them e-mailed to mem

So I took 500min package as apparently that is best  financaly option for me.

@Roxy2023  you can change your spend cap via text. Just text SPEND CAP to 150

to call out of the UK. You need to make sure that you’ve got premium rate numbers enabled if you’re calling a foreign number as this is a chargeable call.

yes, it’s unfortunate when you want to speak to customers services at the same time other people also want to speak to them they kind of get busy with customers calling. you’re not the priority when you call you have to wait your turn.

and if you’ve took a package with 500 minutes, that sounds like a pay you go. This won’t cover calls going abroad. You need credit on your account to pay for these calls as these are international calls so are chargeable.   You can only call UK numbers from your call allowance excluding premium rate numbers.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

They are charging me £13 per month for this 500min International calls.

To make thinks worse, i do not need to make that many cals.

Customer service assistant told me today that another option of £2 plan, International and  calls are discounted too.

But she quated me 20p per minute with plan, while I found now  here it should be 3 p per minute  landline or 13 p pm for mobile with the plan?

It is not transparent and I am very disapointed with service, somone is not telling the truth.

I hope our conversation was recorded today.

Hoever I will go to branch tomorrow, and chek the prices.

And if I was sold plan with 500 min purely for her profit, I will leave EE.
