Having trouble activating SIM abroad.

Recently I went outside UK for few months. I ordered for my sister to get me SIM, activate it in UK, and then she got it to me. They did a call in UK. Now I got message from EE, welcome to .....
And I could not do anything. Nor send message to 150, nor make calls. It shows 4G with operator from this country, but internet does not work. I cannot even get the add-on link to open. I'm kinda stuck and any help would me much appreciated.

It's definitely a good sign if you got a landing message when you first popped your SIM in.
Have you managed to set up an online account to check to see if you have credit active on this number?
Do you know if you can successfully receive calls on this number too?

Hello, Peter. Thanks for the reply! Can I set up account with out mobile data? With wi-fi would it be possible? Where do I do it? Calls - I'm not sure, i think they don't go through.

You can set up an account over WiFi, @justuser.
The only bit that may make this challenging is that you need to be able to receive a verification PIN to this number.
You can create an account here, and fingers crossed this should let you know the account balance.

Thanks for giving that a go @justuser.
If this is displaying your account details and there's no top up showing, then if you get this sorted out you will be able to make calls and send texts.
Data is a bit different, as you need to opt-in to an add-on in order to use this when you're abroad.

Somethings not right. I topped up my balance. And cant call, text. But even if I write 'balance' to 150 it does not send the message. I would understand that there is some kind of add-ons, but I cannot access this website from different device.

Hello! Thanks for reply! I created the account, and did top up the balance. BUT, it does not let me send message like "balance" to 150. And the message that sends link with add-ons, cannot open it, because no data on the sim. And trying from different device through account, the link does not work, been like that for 3 or 4 days.
