Hi, I am testing calls between EE and a new Three number. I can call from Three to other providers including EE and the call is in HD (AMR-WB).
I can call from Vodafone to the Three number and it is also in HD (AMR-WB) however when I call from the EE number to the Three number the call reverts to non-HD. All my other calls from my EE phone to UK numbers are either HD (AMR-WB) or if EE->EE then in HD+ (EVS).
So why in EE -> Three reverting to non-HD (AMR-NB 8k) ???

With 3G signal decommed in my local area; the voice calls outgoing from EE to Three still don't seem to be HD. 🤖
EE's 3G RAN has now been decommissioned nationally, but there's no effect on the core routing of calls. IMS-based calls still get either WB-AMR (HD) or EVS (HD+) codecs, but users that would have been using 3G will now be using 2G for all calls, which uses NB codecs.

@bristolian - thanks for sharing that information, very technical! Beyond what I know about mobile telecoms.
Who do we poke to get this looked into? EE or Three? In your opinion?
