Hi, I am testing calls between EE and a new Three number. I can call from Three to other providers including EE and the call is in HD (AMR-WB).
I can call from Vodafone to the Three number and it is also in HD (AMR-WB) however when I call from the EE number to the Three number the call reverts to non-HD. All my other calls from my EE phone to UK numbers are either HD (AMR-WB) or if EE->EE then in HD+ (EVS).
So why in EE -> Three reverting to non-HD (AMR-NB 8k) ???

Can u tell ee technical people to sort this problem out. All other network providers give hd calling both way. But only ee does not do it with 3 network only. Why. Just fix it it's 2024 man.

Device not an issue. It's the EE network issues. Tell technical people to look into it and fix it

Leanne why don't u call one of your friend who has 3 network or smarty or I'd mobile network from your own personal EE number then see if it shows hd calling or not. Then u will understand. Calling 150 and talk to customer service wont solve this issue. Its network things that needs to done by directly from EE. U call any 3 network number from your EE number plz. And u will see no hd shows up. Thanks

Hi @Alifmirza
To get this looked into you would need to contact our tech guides who will run full troubleshooting to let you know the next steps and can report this if required.
Leanne.

Leanne,
I have done this repeatedly in the past, I have also tried it from the Three/Smarty side. Nothing ever gets done to fix it. The problem is simple, calls from EE to Three are never AMR-WB HD, always AMR-NB. Three blame EE and EE blame Three. It's probably a simple IMS interconnection issue or misconfiguration one side or the other. But it needs the right person in the section which deals with interconnections to other UK operators at both EE and Three to look at this. Additionally if you port an EE number to Three then because if the daft way UK porting is still done (EE still handle all your inbound calls), *all* of your incoming calls are not HD audio. Customer services at EE and Three haven't a clue what to do.

With 3G signal decommed in my local area; the voice calls outgoing from EE to Three still don't seem to be HD. 🤖
