EU Roaming on Essential SIM

My daughter is on an Essential SIM. She is going to France next week but when I checked instore they said she couldn't use roaming because of this type of SIM. Is that true? Can she just not roam for £2.47 a day? 

Any advice gratefully received and to keep me out of the dog-house!

Yes, she may use the Essential SIM for roaming in EU @ £2.47 / day or she could buy the Roam Abroad Pass for £25 per billing month.

Just to add to @XRaySpeX advice, can you text ROAMING to 150 from your daughter's phone, does the reply show the account is set up for roaming?

When I did this I received a message about there not being a decision maker on the account, which I didn't understand!

Her phone is part of my business account so I spoke to my business account manager who advised I call 150 and ask them to add roaming to her phone. Just on the phone to them now 🙂
