Hi. I have been in Dubai for over a week now, I expected to receive a text saying “welcome to (insert country) as happens whenever I travel. But it is still yet to happen and I still have no service. I have roaming on and have tried all the usual fixes )turning phone off etc..)

Roaming is what enables your phone to connect to foreign networks, it is normally activated by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK, a text message confirmation is then sent.

If you didn't do this, then you'll need to contact EE CS by another means.

@Judedoesntknow  If you have no service then you’re not going to receive anything you need a signal to receive.   Is roaming enabled on your EE account?   With this enabled you’ll have a signal to make/receive calls/texts.     Sounds like roaming isn’t enabled on your EE account,  but have you tried a manual network search?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi Chris thanks for your response. I have tried manual network search and I’ve tried connecting to all networks to no avail. I believe roaming is enabled, but if you could tell me how to confirm this I’d appreciate it greatly.
