Conference calling on iPhone

Any ideas how best to run conference calling on an iPhone with EE? The Merge Calls system no longer works, and it seems that EE have removed their Group Calling function as of 31st Jan 2021.

I have other services I can use, but this is getting to be a real pain. Anyone found a good solution?

Hi @Snajix,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

There are a whole host of apps you can use for group calls. Please search your app store for more information.

Hi @Snajix

There's also several independent companies who provide conference bridge services over landline numbers and don't charge for the privilege.

I've used one particular provider for many years now. They use an 03 number, which makes calls to their dial-in number inclusive from both landlines and mobiles.

A quick Google search should find them 😉

Not ideal though. If you're paying for something, you know your privacy is not at risk. All free services are after your data, why should subscribers rely on them?

Hi James,

When a customer purchases a handset worth over £1000.00 they expect every aspect of that handset to work.

Your reply fails to address the fact that this is an EE network decision and should be made clear before customers sign up to EE.

There is no reason why EE cannot offer this service.

It's also unacceptable that EE expect their customers to use a third party App to achieve something that they have already paid for.

It’s a shame that EE we’re not able to make this easy for us. It became such an issue, that we had to move the whole business account to Vodafone. Shame as if not for this we were happy with the EE service and would not have moved.
our total contract price seems to have become a bit cheaper which is always a bonus. Howeve, the European charges are a lot worse at Vodafone. And seeing most of our work is currently UK based, this Is not a major issue for us.  We have now hopped between three different providers in the past few years. I really believe we are getting the best swevice for our needs and price.
