I’m going to South Africa for 6 weeks and really don’t want to pay £6 a day for Wi-Fi…
can my current package be altered for this period?
Thank you.

@Janeygirl Wi-Fi doesn’t cost you anything, Cellular data on the other hand will. And if you’re a contract customer you can not change your tariff as your bound by the agreement that is your contract between yourself and EE.

WiFi is just a wireless connection between a mobile device (tablet, laptop or phone) and a broadband router - the only cost is for the broadband connection, which is free in the case of public WiFi.
The daily cost you're referring to, is likely for a roaming add-on. You can view the roaming costs for using your phone on South African mobile networks at https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/southafrica

If you are on contract, remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account.
