Can you give wifi calling priority even when there is some mobile signal?

This question was discussed a couple of years ago, but I just wondered had there been any new developments in 'forcing' your phone to prioritise WiFi calling. Sometimes I note on my phone that when I do get a stray 1 bar EE signal inside, VoWiFi is dropped in favour of it - I'd rather stick to my 5 bar WiFi signal. Phone is running Android 10, and set to 'auto select network'...

I note you originally queried this in July.

is your phone set to WiFi-preferred or mobile-preferred? Is it definitely using WiFi-calling when this problem happens?

It is a different issue in that since then (I had just started on WiFi bcalling when EE withdrew their booster box), and then  simply wanted to know if there was an option to prioritise WiFi over network, as about 80% of the time, I get no network coverage, but sometimes it drifts in with a one bar. The VOIP logo is constantly onscreen with 5 bar signal.

You ask an interesting question - I have no idea whatsoever when I make/receive a call whether it is on a struggle with a one bar network connection, or a 5 bar WiFi connection. The only clue I have is that I can hear my caller absolutely perfectly, crystal clear. no crackling, and loud volume...

I have assumed that on a weak one bar  network, drifting in/out, I would struggle to hear my caller which I have never experienced...

I think you're using an Android phone, in which case the VoLTE (4G-calling) or VoWiFi (WiFi-calling) symbol next to the signal indicator can be used..

This is screen shot, the VoWiFi logo is permanently onscreen when I am in WiFi range, so I just assume that's how my calls are connected. (When I'm out, it connects just via network, and no one has reported any issue hearing me) Just noticed, that's the highest network connection I've seen for ages LOL
