Hello

J had look on other post but can't seem to find solution.

I have been in Greece for a week and yesterday just noticed that I can't receive calls or make calls. I doesn't matter if it is for UK's number or local numer.

My roaming was activated before I left UK, got welcome text when I have arrived. I have activated that in phone can make call using 2G, WiFi calling, choose automatic network connection. 'Do not disturb' is not on. I have switched restarted phone a few times. I tried to get in touch with EE but I only receive text that they have tried to phone me.

I really don't have a clue where is the issue.  Could someone please help me?

I have Google Pixel 6

Thank you

Emilia

Hi @Emilka1986

Welcome to the community.

It looks like you have connection to a network. Could you try manually connecting to another available network?

Chris

Can you make normal calls & texts?

Are you on contract or PAYG? Had you used that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad?

If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c. Having roaming activated on your EE a/c, not just on your device, is crucial to using your contract SIM abroad.

Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto.

Otherwise you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

Ee recommends to have to have network choose to set to automatically, that's what I it said in text when I arrived so I didn't

I can't make calls or receive calls.

I only receive text after when someone tried to contact me afterwards.

I managed to sent texts to EE so I think I can send texts.

I have the rebooted phones a few times.

I will try to call EE when back to UK

It is all joke tbh, as yesterday I thought it started working itself without me not catching anything) after at least 12h of not being able to make calls or receive calls.

Thought that is all good, but today got text that my mum tried to contact me yesterday at 7:17 am and she was asleep then.

Also I got today at 7:30 that EE welcomes me in Albania, as well separate in Greece.

I wasn't in Albania, still in Corfu but had the similar ssue couple ago and my bills was £200, so this year I was being particularly careful and was going to put phone airplane mode if I receive text like this again.

Wondering how much I have been charged for yesterday.....

Also my data goes like crazy, like how did I use almost like 140GB.....very weird!
