Hi. I’m in France. Have the Roaming add on, can use data, receive calls and texts but can’t call out or send messages. Can anyone help?!

Any billing add-on is immaterial if you're on pay-monthly, but if you can use mobile data and receive calls, that's the proof that roaming is active.

What happens when you try making a call? And which networks is this happening on?

Often changing networks manually or by toggling flight mode, can assist with network problems abroad.

Hi @Ali_M_87

Are you adding +44 to your numbers?

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone. You can call Freephone +44 800 079 8586 on Skype

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
I have ‘dial assist’ activated and so yes I do.

Thanks.

Hi. There’s a recorded messages saying that these calls aren’t included in my package, messages just done get delivered.

Thanks.

Something about this is odd - your package is of no interest or concern to foreign networks.

You've mentioned a billing add-on, which suggests you are on pay-monthly. Are you? If so - any non-inclusive charges are simply added to your bill, unless you have a spend-cap active. Do you?

If on PAYG, then your credit allowance directly dictates your ability to make calls and send texts.

The other option is a temporary issue with the local network you're connected to - resolved by manually selecting an alternative.

Do you have a data, not phone, SIM? What device is it in?

No, my sim is for all things. Never have problems in the UK, just since being away, even though I’ve bought the pass. It’s an iPhone.

Thanks

Hi @Ali_M_87

Have you tried connecting to a different network in your iPhone Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection, turn off automatic and manually search for other networks.

Can you try connecting and making a call, does this work for you?

Leanne.

Yep. I have gone through all the networks and I either get a recorded message or it just beeps and cuts off.

Thanks.
