Barring calls from 0843 numbers

I receive a lot of nuisance calls from 0843 numbers, which I have to bar individually. I am registered with tps service which is useless. I would like to be able to bar all incoming 0843 calls.

Never return a call to an 0843 number as these are always outside of call packagesand will be expensive.

I've just tried this on my S10, as I too am receiving 0843 calls...

I don't know if this will solve the issue, I'll have to wait and see, but it may be worth trying..

press the "phone" icon, then "contacts" then the three dots, at top right. then "settings"

this takes you to "call settings" then below is "block numbers"  second list down is "block spam and scam calls"

takes you to "caller ID and spam..." turn to "ON"... Lower down on same screen "block spam and scam calls" turn on "block all spam and scam calls"

I hope it works cos I'm fed up with this occurring.

EE or Samsung should include this type blocking i.e. number groups 0843, 0845 etc. as an urgent matter for customer service,

Anybody know how to do this with i phone

Hi @suzie9

You can find details in the Avoid unwanted calls on iPhone – Apple Support (UK), page 🙂

Hope this helps.

Leanne.

I’m having the same problem and get on average 2 calls a day from 0843 numbers

i have an iPhone and have set unknown callers to go straight to  voicemail.  These calls are becoming a real annoyance.  I accidentally called the number trying to delete and have been charged

02 are providing there customers a refund, when will EE start to do the same?  https://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/missed-calls-from-0845-and-0843-numbers

@Steve_007  Why call is back ?  And as in the link you posted Ofcom are investigating them numbers.   EE are under no obligation to refund as O2 are refunding out of a gesture of good will not because they have too.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

The time has come for me to move to O2. I need also EU roaming, and ee has decided to brexit while O2 has a much more Europe-friendly deals.

I can’t solve the 0843 issue, but they can add free EU calls if you use a bit of persuasion when your contract comes up for renewal.

The first company to sort this ridiculous state of affairs out will be getting my custom, and my mother's, and my nans!!! Been going on to long now and no one seems capable of helping.

@Rada  Spam callers are an industry-wide problem and no network operator is exempt from this.

Hi Chris_B, I don’t intentionally call the numbers back but on an iPhone it shows the missed call and in error trying to remove this message can accidentally call the number and get charged for only a few seconds
