Accidently Pressed 222 Number scam Text

I had a couple of calls and went to my phone, noticed a voicemail notification, stupidy i pressed the 22287 link which started a call to "Pinchos Bar" i realised straight away and cut it off but call log is showing connected for 2 seconds, what is the likely outcome..?

Hi Jason,

I just got this text on my EE mobile phone " A Voicemail message from +447399693534 was left for you at 16:53 on 12/01. Please call 222 to listen to it before it is automatically deleted. " I have always deactivated voicemail on whichever network am on and I know for sure I deactivated voicemail as I hate having to listen to messages and if it was that important they would text, but as in this case yes I was texted but am not going to click on anything as I know I don't have voicemail.

" but I deactivated voicemail and on my othe EE phone I do have voicemail but I don't get messages like the one I got earlier.

I got the same kind of text earlier just like that " A Voicemail message from +447399693534 was left for you at 16:53 on 12/01. Please call 222 to listen to it before it is automatically deleted. " I don't have voicemail as deactivated it as don't like to hear messages and if important I would get a text and yes I did get the similar text to you, but like you said it looked dodge and of course no missed calls so defo dodge.

I have to agree with you there with calling the 222 number but from what I can see from the different text including mine all come from a different mobile number " A Voicemail message from +447399693534 was left for you at 16:53 on 12/01. Please call 222 to listen to it before it is automatically deleted. " My other EE phone has voicemail but never get text messages like this.

I get that too, only it’s always from 22201. Be careful.
