222 is your voicemail number
When someone leaves a voicemail a text is sent to you and then a quick number in your case 22287 is there so you can call to go straight to that number.
87 shows you have had 87 voicemails to date on this account.
It would have started at 22201 then 02 03 04 and so on. These are quick links basically to that particular voicemail. If you have deleted the voicemail or it automatically deleted these links won't work anymore but the number will keep going up until it reaches 100 then it will start again at 01.

Hi @JasonmUK
Welcome to the EE Community,
222 is your voicemail service which is free to call.
Thanks,
David.

The phone number shown in your screeenshot above, 023 93876082, is a standard landline number in Southampton/Portsmouth area.
023 is the area code for Southampton & Portsmouth, which is +44 23 in international format.
As David has pointed out, 222 (or +44 7953 222222 as it's sometimes displayed) is the EE voicemail service.

Yes, when it's dialled from your phone, but not necessarily when it's clicked as a link in a msg.

True, but clicking the link in a genuine EE voicemail notification has always been safe - I've just tried this as a test from a relative's phone and the callback number was "22255"
If you're not sure as to whether a voicemail is genuine, then just calling 222 or speed-dial 1 is the safest method.
