Accessing voicemail settings

I have started having problems accessing my voicemail options. When I try to choose first option (2 to change voicemail) I am cut off. It is happening repeatedly.

I have tried sending VM off followed by VM on to 150 in an effort to reset - which didn't work

No idea if relevant but I returned from a few days in Norway last week. I didn't have this problem before my trip

Do you have the same problem with other voicemail options? Option 1 to listen to voicemails or 3 for settings.

Not had a voicemail to check, but yes same issue with 3 for settings.

Interestingly since my initial message, I was able to access 2 to successfully change my voicemail message. However, I still find that the tendency for me to be chucked out is still there. i.e. the ability to get into the options currently seems to be the exception not the rule - which is irritating.

What kind of phone are you using? Have you tried restarting it since you returned from Norway?

Hi Chris.

It is a Samsung Galaxy A12. I think about 3 years old.

Yes I turned it off and on again yesterday.

I am still getting the issue. Much more likely to be chucked out of the options and disconnected than allowed into them. It is a bit of an issue as I do need to update my voicemail message reasonably regularly.

Hi Chris 

I am getting the same issue. Whether I try to contact technical support via 150 or the long 1 1 digit phone number, I am disconnected as soon as I try to pick an option. Obviously a glitch somewhere. But I need to find a way to contact Technical Support in a different way.

Any ideas?

I've never heard of this specific problem, @Paul19643 

Could you check your sound setting to make sure 'play sound for keypad taps' is turned on in the system volume? That should help the system recognise your key taps.

Open the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call Alerts and Ringtone > Play Sound For Keypad Taps > On.
