For anyone with the new Full Works plans that allow for 5g Standalone with a supported device, whether you have an eSim or physical Sim, if you have not replaced/redownloaded the Sim and 5g Standalone cannot be toggled on, Replace/redownload the Sim and it should work.
It worked for me on my iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 18

Hey @hello8everyon
Thanks for coming to the community and sharing your solution.
To get 5G Standalone, you would need an Enabled price plan (i.e. All Rounder or Full Works), a compatible device, a compatible SIM card and 5G Standalone coverage.

Does this include Business All Rounder or Full Works?
I don't see "5G Standalone" listed as a feature in the table at the bottom: https://business.ee.co.uk/small-medium-business/price-plans/

Hi @F51
Welcome to the community.
I've done a bit of digging and I can't see anything to say if 5G Standalone is included in the business All Rounder or Full Works plans.
The best thing I can suggest would be to get in touch with our business team, so they can check the plan details to see for sure if it is something you can get.

This has just worked for me, despite many calls to EE Tech first level support (all helpful and lovely) to try and fix. The most recent one sent me to Apple to make it their problem.
Ok first world problem but I’m a little disappointed by this coming from an engineering/technical background.
It shouldn’t have to be the way but all power to forums!
Now, how do I get a physical SIM back and keep my enabled 5G-SA?

Hi speedtest that's great.
The business mobile plans page here does now state:
"With our All Rounder or Full Works unlimited plans you’ll also benefit from 5G Standalone, giving you up to 10x faster speeds than 4G, a more reliable connection in busy areas, like train stations plus improved battery life. You can check where EE 5G Standalone is available using our coverage checker."
I signed up to this though I still haven't seen 5G SA activate. I suspect I need a SIM swap, as I've renewed a SIM that came with a plan that is from 2023.
I also have an EE consumer all rounder plan and the iPhone does state that the SIM isn't supported so need to swap that.

Hi @speedtest
I'm pleased you've gotten this working, thanks for sharing your experience.
If you want to move back to a physical SIM, you can see the ways to get a replacement here How Do I Swap My SIM or Get a New SIM? | Mobile Help | EE.
