WiFi calling

My Nokia G21 has a button for EE WiFi calling, but is not working. I assumed you just press the button on and hey presto but nothing. Am I doing It right? Are there other instructions? Do I need to purchase an add on to get it to work?

Thankyou

@Kaywivane   there are more detailed instructions here:

Are you connected to WiFi?

Thankyou, yes I am connected to WiFi.

WiFi-calling should now be standard, if the phone has a working WiFi connection with the facility enabled and is in too poor coverage for calls to work - it should enable by default.

Was the phone purchased from EE directly, or obtained SIM-free? Your reference to it having a button for EE calling is intriguing.

The phone was not purchased from EE, and it is SIM free.

Thankyou.

Hi @Kaywivane,

If you activate airplane mode then separately reactivate WiFi, do you see a WiFi Calling indicator in your status bar?

James

I did as you said and the indicator was an airplane✈️

Was there also a WiFi Calling indicator, @Kaywivane?

Does it allow you to make a call?

Did you follow the user guide @Mustrum shared to make sure it is activated?

This is the only WiFi calling button on my phone. I have tried all suggestions so but will keep trying. If I cannot get It to work, someone suggested , not on here, that I just use Google Meet instead which does work for me.

Thankyou for your help.

That's the correct setting to activate @Kaywivane

Did you try making a call with airplane mode on, after activating WiFi?
