Over the last few months I've noticed my phone coverage generally has gotten significantly worse. At home, I have almost zero coverage, to the point where I can't even receive phone calls, but even in my local city centre, the signal is so bad phone conversations are constantly breaking up.
I've been with EE since they bought Orange & T-Mobile, what seems like an age ago, and this is the first time my signal has been this bad, and it's at the point where i'm thinking about cancelling.
What's going on? Is 4G getting shut down and you don't have the 5G coverage to back it up? I've checked the "coverage checker" and it does say have pretty patchy coverage in my area, but this is definitely a recent issue. Something has changed.

You keep failing to answer the question as to why the network has changed over the last 12months.
Mobile networks are continually changing - build of new sites, and capacity adds to existing ones. Anything less is standing still, which eventually means falling behind.
Answering specifics without detailed knowledge of the radio network in a specific area is impossible.

I guess coverage will appear to reduce as more users upgrade to 4/5G. It was great as an early adopter until jo public came along. I wonder what impact the MVNO’s have as well, sometimes I wish EE would tell them to sling their hook.

You guess incorrectly, 4G & 5G coverage does not alter based on the number of users. EE have by far the highest percentage of users on 4G & 5G compared with other networks.

I would tend to agree that something has changed. In the last few months, the mobile signal has definitely got worse in my area. We used to enjoy good coverage and could make and receive calls from most of the house. We use both both EE for phones and also EE for mobile broadband. I would add though that this does not seem to be limited to EE. We also use O2 and that has also dramatically reduced. We have to make calls outside.
Something has changed to in the last few months to make the signal so poor.

Good morning @nb84817.
Thanks so much for coming here.
When you search your area using the Status Checker does any known issue show?
You can also check what coverage is expected both indoor and outdoor.
Do you use a fixed home broadband in your home OR the mobile broadband you have mentioned?
Speak soon,
