I bought the best phones and packages available at the time because I was assured my address was a 4g 3-4 bars area. The frequency of issues and maintenance mean that most days I can’t use my phone and because I live in a poor internet area, I’m cut off from Wi-Fi calling. After a price hike and constant works nothing has improved. For £230 a month I expect better service and I can’t even call to complain because the calls drop, what a joke.

The amount you pay shouldn't have any bearing on your level of service.
You mention that you're experiencing dropped calls - does VoLTE display on your phone's screen when this happens? I wonder if part of your issues are that calls are on WiFi-calling when they drop.

My point being I would not have taken the contracts out if I’d known the service area was so bad. I can’t make calls out, or use web based apps when the signal drops via my network with no bars VoLTE does not show at all when this happens

The purpose of my post was to potentially identify the cause of your issues.
Firstly, use the online coverage tool - https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee - under "check coverage", what is reported for your location? "Check status" searches for known issues, is anything shown?
If VoLTE isn't shown, that may be partly the cause of your issues. Do other EE usersd in your area have similar issues?

I’ve already done this and yes there is an issue. It’s a constant problem and there never seems to be any improvement, usually it turns back on in the evening, but that hasn’t happened today.

Are you saying that coverage is broadly as expected, except during periods of degradation?
If so, how long has this been a problem for? Reduced service during the day which is restored out-of-hours, would tend to suggest planned works.
