I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and although I have the full works package shown in my account, I don’t seem to be able to enable/see the option to enable standalone 5G. From https://ee.co.uk/why-ee/5g-on-ee the criteria is:
The problem is, I can’t see further information as to the compatible phones.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @towell
This help page shows you the current list of compatible 5G standalone devices. It will be updated with any new devices, when it's available on them.

Hi @Philt8
Can you confirm if the standalone config for iPhone 14 Pro stayed in place or did it get disabled later?
Regards.

As far as I am aware, only the iPhone 15 and 16 series have 5g Standalone support from Apple’s line up through EE, they have a link to view supported devices.

I've already said this once elsewhere on the forum, please don't quote readily available information from the help pages of EE where someone is asking about something direct to someone else.
On a side note, I'm not seeing many new devices on that list and sure many devices not listed also work on 5G Standalone....
Don't mean to be mean but please don't respond to someone that is directly asking another member of the community a specific question, your not winning any points, just dismantling good informative conversations.

Yet the person still asked the question, no need to be like that because you want the credit, secondly the need to add new devices is not really necessary as most new phones from the brands sold by EE will likely have support, overall people can still check in store if necessary or ask on the community.

As an owner of an iPhone 14 Pro, which on a technical level absolutely supports standalone, EE just haven’t enabled it yet, I’m very interested to hear what happened with this iPhone 14 Pro user who at least temporarily had it working on their device.
No reason people should need to buy new phones to use a feature their current ones are supposed to support.

It would be nice for EE to remove the whitelist and stop giving preferential treatment to phones they sell, as its wrong on those paying customers.

You might want to read the reply to @Philt8 where I asked them a question, not you or the community!!
Also, your making assumptions not actually making statements based on facts or evidence...
You cannot make the 'assumption' that newer devices will have the support but then quote EE's listed compatible devices from their website!
Also how do I seem to be trying to get any credit here.... your the one who has casted a generic response to a question you or the community wasn't even asked, it's almost like you didn't even read my question or even the thread it was in response too.

Yes indeed, EE are reducing the coverage for customers by restricting access to n28 (700mhz) 5G SA in areas where no b20 (800mhz) exists for 4G connectivity.

Your thread was not shown and your response seemed aggressive so I apologise for that, but making the safe assumption that newer phones will support 5g standalone is a pretty safe assumption especially if the phone isn’t something like a Huaweii or other partially restricted device.
