Very slow internet pixel 9 pro

Hi.

Just bought pixel 9 pro on contract and straight after got issue with speed of internet . During phone calls cracking voice is notorious .

My speed is 1mbps up to 30 max .

Location Banbury Oxfordshire. Ee says no problem is with network . Shocking I can not work with that handset . We are in  2025 not in 2015!

So far I am collecting data from speed test to formal claim to negotiate shorter contract or totally switch to other supplier. Also record phone calls to have in my pocket too.

I am just totally mad about EE . I am only with them 3 weeks . Support is terrible. They sold me crap and they keep saying network is good  buhaha.

Lads ,the same fillings as me  about EE??

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues with EE. Unfortunately, network issues are usually localised and therefore one that affects you is unlikely to affect others on here. However, here's a few things it's worth trying if you haven't already.

  1. Report an issue in the MyEE app. EE network staff do regularly check these reports and it can lead to work being done and your speed improving.
  2. Try the Sim in another handset, this eliminates any device issues and is always needed to be confirmed before EE will escalate any issues
  3. If none of those have worked, give EE a call on 150. State the speeds your getting and they'll be happy to help. It's worth noting to be patient as these issues can take time to figure out.

It's also worth noting usually any speed under 12mbts for 4G is considered below what is expected for EE and is enough to be looked into by Level 2 teams.

Best of Luck

Have you tried to make calls via wifi? Is it better, worse, or the same?

You can force wifi calling by going into aeroplane mode, and turning wifi back on, and as long as you have wifi calling enabled, you should be able to make a call and test.

What's your basis for this claim?

Can you use mobile data whilst on calls? That's a good test of whether you're using 4G-voice, otherwise known as VoLTE.

My basis for this claim is what a member of EE staff told me over the phone on the 14/12/2024 when I was experiencing 2 different network issues.
