Terrible level of mobile signal

Is anyone else having constant issues with Mobile signal?, I live in the North East and cannot have a phone conversation from Chester - le - Street to way past Durham. 10 mile area on the A1 the most used road in Northern England.

I am having issues though in many regions as I travel for work and must be seeing over 90% of my calls drop out.

Are your calls dropping consistently at the same locations? And does it affect travel in both directions?

Are you using a 5G phone or a 4G phone? Does coverage show on your phone's screen when calls drop?

I am using an IPhone 16 pro max

the calls drop out 90% of the time I’m calling when not using WiFi calling.
I drive a lot and to be told from EE that they cannot confirm coverage while driving or not using WiFi calling is a very poor excuse.
calls drop not only while driving but also whenever WiFi calling is not available.
I’ve done the normal steps, airplane mode on and off, reset mobile networks, check auto 5g is enabled.

it just seems like EE signal isn’t strong enough anywhere

I suspect something may be getting lost in translation when CS advise coverage isn't guaranteed when travelling, but if you can identify specific locations where calls regularly drop when signal is shown, then something is awry.

Equally, if you're getting the proportion of dropped calls that you claim, I'd be questioning whether your phone is partly or wholly the cause.

Have you ever had good service since having this particular phone?

Our signal is he same down in Surrey. No bars for signal and when finally get to connect it drops out.

Signed to a 24mths sim only and it's worse. Im better off on PAYG but not sure.how to change.
