Hi,
Is anyone else getting terrible data coverage in their town centre? In central Windsor (Berkshire) I regularly have no data connection, just an exclamation mark next to the signal icon on my Google Pixel 5. Is this due to buildings (a castle?), proximity to a railway or anything else? Or too many people connecting to too few masts? It's a real problem given that paying for parking on RingGo needs an internet connection.
Ultimately would a different network be better, or are they sharing the same kit?
Thanks

Which bit of the complaint do you not understand? This is a long-term (i.e. over two years), continuous and total service failure. There is no data access for EE in Windsor town centre. It covers the whole of the town centre.
I can put it in words of one syllable:
No
data
at
all
in
the
town.
When
will
you
fix
this?
My contracts are coming up for renewal. I’ve been with EE / Orange since 2001. If nothing is done, I’ll have to move.

And, before I get a fatuous response, I have reported it online and by phone and through the service checker. Repeatedly. With no resolution.

No, they won’t. And even if they do, they will say there is no fault. Stop treating customers like idiots.

I submitted another coverage check complaint, as suggested by other contributors. Unsurprisingly, the same response.
An easy give, if they were remotely concerned about customer service, they could provide access to BT hotspots as it is the same corporate group.

We really suffered during our 2 day trip to Legoland, literally no network at all, I had to get a PAYG sim to be able to check my home security status
for a network that claims they are the biggest network, it is a disgrace.

Legoland is not in central Windsor that this thread is discussing, and there is also coverage throughout the park - although indoors you do sometimes rely on WiFi-calling. There may have been an unplanned fault at the time you were there.
I'm not sure why any network should be branded a disgrace for having poor coverage in particular areas, they all have them!

This is so true. Same here. I've reported this to them. They have tried to help sort it by asking to call when I'm in areas where I'm having problems but of course we weren't able to communicate as there was no signal! This terrible issue has gotten in the way of official matters like the police calling me to ask about the vandalism on our property - the police officer later then sent an email saying that I sounded like I was in a tunnel and he couldn't understand anything I was saying. It's also gotten in the way of sending an important parcel as I needed to get a code online but because of the terrible network, I couldn't so I needed to go to the EE store across the post office to connect to their WIFI. Can't wait my contract to end so I can switch! Sky Mobile's coverage is great and also the price is cheaper.

Hi @rmdpreyes
We are aware of a signal issue that is affecting some of our customers in the Windsor area. This is caused by the main mobile site being congested at certain times when the volume of traffic increases. To help ease congestion and improve coverage in the area, we will be installing upgrades to the existing mast to increase capacity.
Our engineers are currently in negotiations with the site provider to access the area to start installing the equipment needed for the upgrades. Barring any unforeseen delays, we expect all work to be completed by April 2024.

I was in Windsor yesterday waiting for the bus outside the Castle entrance. Five bars showing 4g yet unable to access any data. The same problem in the shopping area. I presume the upgrade will be 5g?

That depends on the individual site configs, but it could easily be additional 4G carrier adds on B3 or B1 using the existing antennas, B1 could also include 5GNR on n1.
Adding 4G-B7 or 5G-nr78 would increase the likelihood of needing antenna swaps.
