Hi @220K
*Soapbox time*
Speak to your local MP as i guarantee delays are becase of the local council bureaucracy and idiots nimby 5G nutters. Getting anything like new masts installed is a nightmare even if it benefits the local and national community. Finding a site, planning permission, local/ parish council, notices of work, objection, does it fit with the local environment...the list goes on, no wonder nothing gets done in this country.
You are doomed if it is Croydon as they are a bankrupt mess of a council.
Even installing a temporary mast take months/years if that is an option.
Ultimately you are receiving a service poor or not.
Thanks

EE are quite open on this forum about the rare occasions when a site decom is not matched with a new site build, and I don't believe South Norwood/Croydon is one of those - however...
Contrary to some (probably frustration-driven) opinions, operators would always intend to replace lost coverage whenever possible - but replacement sites are subject to the same planning regime as any other new-build. It's certainly not unusual for multiple operators to share the same rooftop locations in city centres.
Vocal local opposition to new site builds can frustrate network operators in both urban & rural locations.

Can EE and the mobile network plan to put a new mast up in South Norwood it doesn't make sense to leave the area without a phone mast and poor service EE and many mobile operators are running a business so why do they allow there coverage to decline surely they can plan a new mask in the area near South Norwood Clock Tower or will they leave this area with poor signal and no working service

There are several small cell installs around the northern edge of the recreation ground, with umbrella macro-sites a little further away.
