Think this might be thr best section for this question. I am up in the North East of Scotland traveled down from the North yesterday and in the main the signal is good. Parked up for the night and on arrival had good 3 bars 4g signal. But then it slowly goes down then it goes H+ then goes E then goes back up to 3 bars 4G this happens all night and it cycles around this process about every 40 mins. Now am parked up I would think the mast is stationary so why would the signal go up and down ?

Hi @kcurrie65.
If you know the postcode, are you able to check it in our Network Status Checker?
Are you in a rural location?

Coverage checker said it would be a good signal and when it was up it was good it was the fluctuations that were the problem and as always no reported issues in the area. Also I would guess at least 70% of Scotland is classified as rural my home village 5 miles from a big town is classed as rural

My point exactly 9 times out of ten when you check for faults its saying no faults. I get coverage in Scotland could be patchy due to hills and mountains but if am parked up and the mast is stuck on a hill why does the signal yo yo

The signal bars on your phone screen are only a rough indicator of service, and some variation is entirely normal and to be expected.
This can sometimes be caused by your phone "bouncing" between different serving cells, but there are other reasons.
Do you have problems using your phone for calls, texts or data?

Certainly issues with data as on H+ and on E no data was happening calls were OK I haven't noticed in all our trips a signal doing the yo yo thing like last night. Tonight fort Augusta 2 bars solid no yo yo effect tonight peace is restored 🙏
