The signal indicators on your phone's screen are only a rough guide, and there's nothing wrong with having one bar - it's all I have most days and it doesn't directly cause any issues.
If you're having problems with calls or outgoing voice as a result, that's a concern. Are you using WiFi-calling or VoLTE when this happens?
