Poor Coverage at Home, not sure what to do

I have had bad reception at home since renewing my contract. I previously had an iPhone and have just renewed my contract with a Galaxy Z Flip 7, and since then I can’t make or receive calls at home.

When I set up my iPhone again to test it, I noticed it says “WiFi calling”. For whatever reason I can’t get this to work on the Galaxy. However, regardless of that, I am paying for a mobile phone service that I am not getting as WiFi is a completely separate service that I am paying for, so I don’t believe it should be a component of providing an adequate service.

I have checked EE’s coverage maps and my house has no 5G coverage, and 4G is also just beyond the boundaries of my property. We’ve been having WiFi issues recently, so when that’s out I can’t even rely on my phone for a hotspot.

As I renewed my contract in store I was dismayed to learn that I don’t have 14 days cooling off, unless I am having coverage issues, which I am. How can I resolve this?

I have been with EE for 10 years, but as they don’t yet cover my home address, which I hadn’t noticed before as when I moved in nearly 3 years ago I was using my iPhone with WiFi calling and the broadband never had an issue until recently.

WiFi-calling is a way of using your phone to make & receive calls, send & receive text messages, without needing mobile network coverage. In simple terms, it uses the WiFi connection between your phone & the router, to replace the radio connection between the phone and the nearest serving network site.

Most Samsung Android phones have the option to enable WiFi-calling in the call settings menu, as per the pictures below..

Hi @STEJENT

EE do not guarantee coverage everywhere and as @bristolian has said WiFi calling (using your service over wifi) is EE solution.

EE are improving their infrastructure all the time and service may improve in the future.

Thanks
